Gerry runs Information & Design, a UX consultancy in Melbourne Australia. He also hosts the User Experience podcast. He has worked om multiple projects in public and private sectors, lectured in user centred design, and been actively involved in the UX community.

Gerry helps large organizations deliver a better digital customer experience. His commercial clients include Microsoft, Cisco, NetApp, Dropbox, VMware, and IBM. He has also consulted with the European Union, US, UK, Dutch, Canadian, Norwegian, and Irish governments.
Gerry has developed a research and management model to help organizations improve customer experience through identifying and optimizing customer top tasks. It’s called Top Tasks Management. A highly-regarded speaker, he has spoken on digital customer experience in 35 countries.
He has written six books on digital customer experience. His latest is called Transform: A Rebel’s Guide for Digital Transformation. It shows that digital transformation is far more about culture change than technology change. The Irish Times described Gerry as one of five visionaries who have had a major impact on the development of the Web. He is the founder and CEO of Customer Carewords.

Gerry Scullion is a service design consultant with 16-years professional experience. He has held design leadership positions at Myspace.com, IGN, Cochlear, MYOB and CBA amongst others. He runs Humana Design, human-centered design practice in Dublin and also is founder of TheAcademy.ie – a UX, Service Design and Product Management training service.
He’s spoken at UX Australia, UX Scotland, Vivid Sydney, Product Camp Dublin, General Assembly, Product Tank, XXUX, Creative Mornings, Service Design Days, Product Talks and many more. He’s a long-serving volunteer mentor for iXDA in Australia and is a Fellow and former NSW Convenor for theRSA.org.
Most recently he contributed to the service design book ‘This is Service Design Doing‘ (O’Reilly Media, 2017) on chapters relating to ‘Embedding service design into organisations’ and ‘Effective prototyping for businesses’. He’s Founder and host of This is HCD – The Human-Centered Design Podcast.
His interests lie heavily in using design methods to improve social outcomes. He lives and breathes design, is an ex-singer songwriter, amateur barista, football fanatic, and tech gadget geek.
